Vibroacoustic Map

Low frequency sound (30Hz - 120Hz) delivered directly to the body via transducers can stimulate the afferent vagus nerve, increasing Heart Rate Variability.

Clinical Protocols

Frequency (Hz) Primary Target Application
30 - 40 HzMusculoskeletalSpasms, lower back tension. Applied via bed/mat.
40 - 68 HzNeurologicalParkinson's rigidity protocols (esp. 40Hz).
80 - 120 HzPulmonary / VagalApplied near sternum. Stimulates vagal tone.

Hardware Requirements

Standard headphones cannot deliver vibroacoustic therapy. You must use a tactile transducer (bass shaker) bolted to furniture, or a specialized VAT mat. The SPL should be high enough to cause physical vibration without exceeding 80dB of audible sound.
